Well, it is a pretty fun month here at Knitterly. We have Trish in house this week teaching and spinning -what fun! And then next week, Takako from Habu will be here for a trunk show next Friday, May 16, 4-7 pm and then on Saturday though out the day she will be teaching classes on how to knit from Japanese patterns. Since Habu sells its patterns in kits and the the patterns are written in the Japanese way, we are very happy to not only have the lovely Takako here to show off the beautiful garments, but also to teach us how to read and work the patterns with ease. The trunk show is free, the pattern class is a small charge. Sign up by calling the shop or stopping by.

I love Habu fiber. It is prefect for spring and summer knitting and allows for infinite creativity. If you want something that is simple and yet striking, this is the yarn for you. We just got a new shipment in so there are lots of goodies to inspire you. Here is some of our selection, we just love it!

Just one couple of close up here, because it is so pretty!

One of the qualities of Habu fiber is the natural and organic look and feel of its color and texture. I have little bundles of Habu just sitting on my desk as a way of keeping a bit of gentle inspiration always present. Some have flowers, I have Habu! Who says you have just knit your yarn?
