Good morning 🙂
Ashleigh here, Shelli’s daughter. We just had a great weekend dye workshop with Trish “the dish” Andersen. Trish and her two interns, Emily and Mariele, brought yarn for dying, pots, outdoor stoves, and set up what looked like a chilli cook off, outside the shop. The gingham table cloths attracted the empty bellies hoping for BBQ and the steaming pots invited people to stop and peer over at colorful yarns.
When it was blazing hot, all the newly professional, dyers came in for a feast. Chatting about the colors and enjoying good company.
We had a brave yarn painter, Mrs. Mary-Kay. Whom purchased “Beaded silk and Cashmere”, by Tanglewood fibers and DYED it. Yep you heard me right! Trish was so excited she went running to get EVERYONE to come and look. It was so pretty and the yellow dye she used popped the pink and red beads beautifully. (I will try to get a picture for all of you curious)
It was a fun weekend and we loved seeing all the adventurous knitter/ weavers turned dyers.

Thanks to Trish her awesome interns and our wonderful customers it was a fun and successful workshop.
Keep your eyes open and check your emails for Trish’s next workshop. It’s worth the experience.
